Introduction Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by social and communication deficits restricted repetitive or stereotyped behaviours. The prevalence of ASD has been thought to be higher in men, which may reflect aspects the own aetiology disorder. Still, it also associated with misdiagnosis missed diagnosis females autism due specific phenotypic traits. Objectives To explore differences between sex/gender autism’s clinical presentation. Methods Non-systematic literature review using most relevant papers found on PubMed Google Scholar following keywords: “autism spectrum disorder”, “gender differences”, “autistic women”. Results Autistic women seem have “camouflage” phenomenon, high level functioning, less unusual play interests, better socio-emotional reciprocity coping Therefore, commonly an anteriority multiple diagnoses, delays their access support care they need.
